About Me

Hello! I'm so glad you stopped by. My name is Monica, and I am a wife to an amazingly strong, kind, compassionate, and selfess man, Adam. He is my best friend, biggest supporter, and fellow strategy game player. :)  He's the Family Pastor at our church, and he is so great at what he does. I'm also a mommy to the most adorable little boy, Jackson, born April 20th, 2010. Being at home with him is the BEST job in the world.  And last by certainly not least,  I'm a follower of  Jesus, who without Him, I would be nothing. 


I LOVE all things home-making, including loving and serving my man, raising my kiddo, and cleaning and cooking and making my home a peaceful refuge (which are all things I blog about). I also love good music, singing, chocolate (the darker the better), strategy games, ice cold coke, running errands with my two guys, coffee, and blogging. 


I started this blog when I became pregnant with the little man. I blogged once a week with pregnancy updates (pregnancy posts are posts Sept. 2009-April 2010), and soon after Jackson arrived, this blog took on a life of its own. It is now a sweet outlet for my never-ending "to do" list life.


For the past several months the following verse has been etched on my heart:


"Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23.


Thankfully, Jesus's grace and patience never runs out on me. His mercies are made new each day. And that is my prayer. That as a wife and mother, I will be full of grace and patience each new day.
